I was struck by a rather awesome idea thanks to the inspiration of a neighbouring forum that I happened to visit while hurtling through the Intergalactic Internet. Why not utilize the levelling up scenario and the health program and make adoptable creatures that you can train by posting? You can buy them at a specific category in the Shops and purchase items and upgrades for them. Similar to the held items, except utilizng the equip function already present in the forums coding. You can battle other members and gain more points with each victory, along with the posts that you accumulate. Perhaps, you may even take it to the extent of having stats and attacks that you can make and personalise to suit your little buddy. If injured, you may heal them with healing items and recharge their "vitality/ MP".

This may be taking it too far, but perhaps even being able to make attacks for them and items to aid them in combat within your own usershops?

Yeah, it's a little eccentric, and random, but I believe that it has potential.

"Train by posting"

Can we think of some other way to build up stats? I want to avoid rewarding post count.

Personally I don't like this idea, its just going to fatten up Digibutter with features that's gonna slow things up for me. I mean, its a feature that's gonna be ignored by many and will be forgotten eventually...

If they're unaffected by the Off-Topics, posting to train would be fine, but I agree that there should be other methods. Such as using Freezies/Ice Arrows a lot or Fire Arrows/Fire Flowers on people. And if you're a vampire, your pets end up being weaker due to only non-vampires being able to buy quality food or something. Vampires are way unbalanced and easily abusable right now.

Use the EXP leveling system people have been asking for forever so we actually gain something from killing each other. Just make it so the pets get killed instead, that way it won't interfere with people's posting.
