My friend and I want to relive the 90's so we brought out our old Pokemon cards, and bought a few new ones to test them out (I got a Darkrai... too bad it wasn't LV X).
I guess we're gonna play once we both have decks.
The only thing I'm wondering is... Are the Diamond and Pearl cards legally compatible with the original and Neo series? And by legally, I mean tourney rules, cuz I want to play legit. |

I was searching for something in my stuff drawer today and came across my entire set of first generation rares and holos. I quit after the whole Dark/Light thing came out... and that was a long time ago. |

I quit after Dark/Light as well. But it's time to bring it back. My friend and I want to openly play it in public places. I'm even wearing a 10-year-old Poke-backpak to school tomorrow. XD |

I believe ever since WTC lost the rights to print the pokemon cards Most tourneys wont let you use old sets ( Even some of the new Upperdeck Prints)
I need to find my deck now... XD |

Wow, tourneys are lame then. Screw those rules.
Haha, It's funny to see how you guys are like "I gotta find my deck!"
Oh yes, My deck is now complete, and it is a Dark/Grass deck. I have cards from the old and new sets, because I didn't have enough newer Grass Energy or Darkness Energy cards, and some old Trainers that aren't made anymore. |

Haha, Pokémon TCG. I'd go look for mine but it's probably got dumped away in the last change in my room.
But, around 5 years ago at Spain, I bought a deck and so did my bro, and then my cousins, my bro and I shuffled them around to make new decks. And then we went to play. And then I kicked everyone's butt. : D |

Wooooooaahh! Wait, I thought it was optimal to have a maximum of 2 types in a deck? Or is that just the most common? Cuz I build my decks using the 20 Pokemon, 12 Trainer, 28 Energy template, with there being a maximum of 2 different types, plus Colorless Pokemon. |

Actually I remember I made the water variant of it. ( when I got dark dragonight)
"Dark" Pokes get a boost from dark energy (this includes pokemon with dark in their name.) which is why its limited to four ( special enegy card adds 10 attack per dark energy)

Dark Raichu
Raichu
Sharpedo
Dark Dragonite

I used to collect 'em, but after I got a one-of-a-kind Rocket's Moltres and a Relicanth (my favorite PKMN at the time) I stopped collecting. |

I just found out...
Remember that VERY FIRST box that came out? Like, the ORIGINAL STARTER SET?! Well, I have the Machamp in there, 1st Edition, STILL IN THE WRAPPER. And also, an Ancient Mew from the second movie STILL IN ITS WRAPPER.
