I think we need a good discussion about video games. I'd normally post this in Gaming, but I think that isn't a serious enough forum and anyway nobody ever goes to Gaming.

I especially liked the mechanic at the end of Metroid Prime 3 - With the music together, the eternal Hypermode didn't only make for some kickass gaming; it was also a convenient plotdevice (in a series I could rip limb from limp in the way of logic in about ten minutes because it doesn't make a lot of sense and leaves plotholes the size of Tallon IV) and, together with the Dark Samus boss music was truly inspiring, kindaq, because the music had this sort of constant beat that seemed to be counting your time until Terminal Corruption.

I couldn't resist banging my head against a wall, however, when they showed Samus flying up in front of the GFS Olympus AND HAVING LOST ALL POWERUPS. I mean, discarding the PED would make sense since all Phazon is gone, but the rest ? How did she get rid of it ? In MP1 and 2, they at least bothered to explain how she lost them and even showed it. But that's just a Wall Banger.

Also... IMMA FIRIN MAH PHAZOR ! BWAAAGH !

Nintendo, Nintendo, Nintendo...
