I bought it the other day, and so far, I am impressed. Granted, it isn't on the same level of greatness as the original game, but it doesn't disappoint, either- the plot is actually interesting, unlike Advent Children or Dirge of Cerberus (Games that brought shame to FFVII's great plot, in my opinion.)
Gameplay-wise, one could mistake it for a mindless button-mashing hack n' slash fest, but it isn't. It successfully incorporates the strategic elements that the rest of the series is known for in to its gameplay. However, there are a few things that I don't like about it, including how several gameplay mechanics revolve around randomly spinning slots- summons, limit breaks, and even level ups are all determined by the slots. Of course, this doesn't put a large dent in the game's quality.
Anyway, so far, it has been enjoyable. Who else has tried it? |

Is it another game that gives Sephiroth another chance at life?If it is, then I'm DEFINITELY not trying it. |

i got it 2/3 days ago. beat it yesterday.
i love it.
downfalls: leveling up, summons, limits.
final boss: awesome. pretty easy(if played on normal mode lol)
final boss musics: awesomer.
it is the 2nd best FFVII. but the storyline was kinda disappointing. i didnt really find it to be that much of a storyline, but it is actually better than the previous two.
the gameplay was simple. keep pressing X, and if low on health, heal and continue slashing away! lol. there were a few missions that i needed magic. by the time i got around to doing missions, i was outside the room with the final boss, and i had the best magics.
i say it was a really good game. compaired to the other recent ones. they werent bad, it's just Crisis Core was better. by a long shot.
and also, sephiroth didnt play that big of a role. he was barely there actually. i was a little suprised.. |

And why is that? | It's a prequel to FFVII, so he's alive anyway. |

I was talking about "definitely not trying it." Why not try it, and what's wrong about Sephiroth, anyway? |
