Do you have anything that, to you, is a passion? That is, something you really put your heart into, and feel like you get something out of it in return. Something you really care about, something you enjoy doing, have great interest in - anyone who does should probably know what I mean by now. Oh, and it doesn't have to be THAT deep - but then how important IS this to you? It can be a hobby, a perspective or a belief...

I guess my own passion is writing, and the capacity for both beauty and cruelty within the human mind. A lot of what I consider writing or have written these days is based heavily off of this, it seems. A piece of writing can focus on me, it can focus on other people, it can focus on the actual world that people stand on, it can focus on fictional characters. I'm trying to be more and more original with my works as of late, however, so fanfiction hasn't exactly been my area for a while now.

I enjoy writing because it is a way for me to express, other than the spoken word, how I feel through symbolism and in (hopefully) an eloquent and captivating manner. These representations of my inner self or observations of what surrounds me are placed permanently upon a computer screen or paper surface, to be reviewed any time at any individual's leisure. I share what I make with others, because I hope that they will get something out of it too, whether it be a new outlook on something or even just entertainment, maybe a laugh, aloud or in their minds. I know that I get something out of writing... and that is one reason why I enjoy it so much.

Anyway, how about anyone else?

Hmmm... drawing. I've always loved drawing, as it allowed me to put my emotions down somewhere without letting people know exactly what I was thinking. Silent venting, I suppose.

I'm starting to get into abstract art... it's much more expressive than any other kind, in my opinion. It's also good for stress relief... if you need to, you can just attack the paper, canvas, or wall that you're painting or sketching on...

Interesting perspective, AT. I enjoy reading what other people have to say about their own passions. And, well, abstract art sounds interesting to me - I'm actually into abstract writing, so that's a parallel preference between us in a sense.

Sometimes my writing is dark, sometimes expressive of joy, freedom, or another positive feeling... it's all based on what I have in me when I actually start writing.

Seconding drawing. More specifically, animation. I have a lot of thoughts and ideas that I draw, and animating them really brings them to life.
I really don't animate enough though. I should do it more often.

Drawing. I just love seeing the turnout of a hi-technical-looking picture.

Daydreams. If I have one thing, it's an imagination that goes so far.. Well, if imaginativeness was speed, I'd have reached escape velocity ten minutes ago.

And after watching too much Scrubs, I've started to have J.D. - like daydreams.

Problem is, I imagine whole stories, pictures, games and then try to sketch or make them.

And utterly fail and go emo about how much my skill sucks.

The only other two things I do with as much passion as these don't count, as they are being an obnoxious smartassy prick and being lazy.

Animation for me. It's the thing I'm going to college for in about a year and a half. I try to put a lot of effort into my animations, and I always try to make them entertaining.

I hope I can put the same amount of dedication into my work later in life as well.

My passion is cooking. Grabbing raw material and turning it into something delicious makes cooking all worth while. I also get a sense of accomplishment when I cook because I made it.

I like cooking and art, but I'd say my true passion is teaching. Teaching is sometimes the only thing that can make me keep on living.

I enjoy writing... But I have not done so in a very long time. However, my personal life has already begun loosening up, and perhaps I can return to some of my old hobbies in the near future.

I agree with Chaos Dimentio on writing, it's very entertaining to take a step into someone else's world. In fact, the human mind is a lot like a theatre that never runs out of movies, in my opinion. There is almost always something to explore.

I can safely say "Writing for the win."
