It's just over 16 hours to go as I type this (0:16:12:36 to be exact). This is probably going to be one of the best DS titles we see all year, and it's JUST over the horizon.

If you haven't checked the site out, it's http://theworldendswithyou.com.

There's a lot to be expected out of this game, and personally, i can't wait to get my hands on it. Good thing I had $40 left over from my birthday. Yes, it's a $40 game, like most Square Enix DS games are when they just come out.

It's only a matter of hours before we can all see Neku, Shiki, and the rest of the gamg in action, against the Reapers Game and the evil Noise.

So, who else is epically pumped for this game?

I still don't really know what this game is.
The website doesn't even say what it is. After watching some of the videos, I deduce that it is a Viewtiful-Joe-style RPG with real-time battles, and some nice music.
But $40? Who do they think they are?

The April issue of NP had a 6-page article about the game. It seems interesting, and is going to have some epic music (according to the NP staff), but the game may be a little dark for some players. And you have to be good at doing the Stylus and Control Pad at the same cragging time to play; you battle with Neku using the Stylus on the Touch Screen, and you battle with another character using the Control Pad (ABXY Buttons for lefties) on the Top Screen. The game has a Difficulty Slider that you can use to make the game easier (or harder if you're that good), and the Ultra Easy setting makes one of the characters CPU-controlled so you focus on only one of them. (I have NOT played this game yet. I got all of this out of the NP article, and the Wikipedia page about the game. And a long while after Mario Kart Wii comes out, I might get the game.)
The May issue of NP rated the game a 9.0, so I guess the game actually is pretty good.

I expect nothing less than the next Earthbound in terms of popularity for this, at least in the cult fame sense. It doesn't look like it will be perfect, but like a lot of Square titles it looks like it will gather a mass of fans.

They made FFIII $40 when it first came out, I think. FFXII Revenant Wings is still $40 at most stores, and FFCC Ring of Fates is $40 at most places.

It's a Square Enix thing, I guess.

I've played it, but only for a bit since my brother hogs the flash card :<

Anyways, from what I played it's a pretty cool game. The fighting is...interesting to say the least.

$40 price tag made me not buy FFCC for DS.

They really need to stop doing that.

This game has to be good! It's keeping my sisters preoccupied while I'm here on Digibutter. The music is catchy though... Wink

It's not terrible (only $5 more than most new DS games), but yes, I'll say that Square Enix needs to stop jacking up their prices.

Although, FFCC was well worth the money. Gah, it's so good!

I'm gonna be getting The World Ends With You (I guess it would be easier to say TWEWY) later today. I can't wait for it!! D:
