So, this movie was in theaters a while ago, but it just came out on DVD. It started out as an independent film and then did well. From there, Fox decided to wide release the movie nationally (Fox Searchlight was the original maker, then 20th Century Fox released it). It was nominated for 4 academy awards, including best picture. It only managed to win Best Screenplay. I absolutely love this movie. On paper it seems like an average movie. A teenage girl gets pregnant, and decides to put it up for adoption. The actual movie however, is great. Ellen Page plays Juno, the main character and Micheal Cera plays Paulie Bleeker, the father of the child. J.K. Simmons is Juno's father, and Jennifer Garner is the woman who is going to adopt the child. The film is hilarious and witty. When I saw it I wanted to go back and watch it again. What are your thoughts on the movie, if you've seen it? Did you like it? And other comments you may have. |
