Do you want your blog (personal forum) posts to appear in the big Blog Forum? Or do you want to only be able to see them in your profile?
I assumed that you would want to see all the posts without having to go to everyone's profile. But I can also see why you would want it to be less visible, so that only closer friends might read it.
So, what say you all? |

I like the forum. It makes it easier to see all the blog posts, instead of somebody posting "I had a rough day today" and having only one person respond because nobody looks at other people's profiles often.
Besides, if you want to post something just in your profile, you can make it a Sticky. |

Blog forum. If they're profile only, nobody's going to read them. I do think a "Latest Blogs" on the front page would help, sort of like the Latest Pictos. Replies to blogs don't count though; just the topics themselves. A few other suggestions; allow HTML in blogs, and add a "subscribe" feature that'll send you a PM alert when someone updates their blog. The way blogs are now, they're just another General Discussion, but with some work, they could be a pretty good feature. Just don't try to make this site the next Myspace. |
