It's because we don't have the same Server type as Japan. That, and Nintendo of America is lazy to bring it out to us! That and Nintendo never had any experience in making a Server that's BIG ENOUGH to handle Super Smash Bros. Brawl! I mean, we could all do better if there were monthly Brawl-Cons, where we all get together for a BIG Tournament, that we can all participate in, without having to use the Nintendo WFC Service!
It's just about as messed up as the Physics of Shapeshifting! You can turn into a machine gun, but not bullets. Contemporary Jazz turns you back to normal. You can only turn into gifts that your Grandma's knitted for you! Crap like that! And you could only shapeshift into ALMOST anyone, as in portions of a certain person!
