Goto N64 DK's Jungle Parkway, then when you are at 1st place, and someone threw at spiny shell, ready to get you, go up the ram that goes across the boat and the ocean, and if you do it at the right time, instead of it hitting you, the spiny shell will actually hit the ocean, avoiding you! So, yea, I had found this out earlier.
If Thunder Clouds apply the same way as blue shells, then Blue Shells should be avoidable at DK's other "launchers" in DK Summit/Snowboard Cross, Maple Treeway, and DK Mountain.

I really hate Red Shells. Sometimes, they actually WAIT for you to come off a jump, then hit you from the side! In the next Mario Kart, Nintendo should rescript the Red Shell so if it passes its intended target, it homes in on the next racer instead of waiting for the first racer to come off the Half Pipe Jump or whatever it was.
