Depends. In Mirror, usually about twice. In non-mirror, maybe once (I occasionally can't turn fast enough in the area after the figure 8 ramp...yeah, the area with the sharp, unguarded turns before the Launch Star). Usually I don't unless I'm hit by a POW Box or Banana or lightning.

In any usual race, I generally used fall off about 5-7 times. Most of the time, it is while I am riding a bike, and I try to do a trick on one of the boosts, and then I pretty much fly off course. Now, I've been skipping doing the tricks on the boosts in Rainbow Road, and I've been concentrating on my driving much more. Now, I fall 0-2 times. I just need to practice it a bit more, to make my driving skills on Rainbow Road perfect.
