Oh you didn't see this coming xD You can choose either karts or bikes. Personally I prefer bikes.
My favorites from each class...
Small: S Standard Bike/Bit Bike/Jet Bubble (Both helped me so much in Grand Prix)
Medium: Zip Bike (I think thats whats it called. Daisy+Zip Bike=WIN)
Heavy: Off Roader/Twinkle Star (Both are very useful in Grand Prix...at least for me)
My absolute favorite has to be the Bit Bike, mostly because I use lightweights the most.
Now the vehicle I hate the most is the Bullet Bill bike. That thing handles like a mad dog DX

The Phantom and the Wario Bike are my two favorites.
For Daisy I use the Dolphin Dasher and for lightweights the Magikruiser and Blue Falcon, just for the nostalgic value. ^^ |

I always choose the Dolphin Dasher (+ any mediumweight driver) in almost every online race I do.

EDIT: Thanks Ninty. Now I have no idea what some of these karts/bikes are due to name changing.

My favorite vehicles:
Small: Standard Kart S and Bit Bike
Medium: Super Blooper and Sugarscoot
Heavy: Haven't driven any heavy vehicles yet. Ever since I unlocked Mii Outfit A, I've been driving Mediumweight vehicles.
I prefer bikes with a low Drift rating, but high Speed, Off-Road, and Mini-Turbo. (Large drifting radius fits my driving style...)
Worst vehicles I've ever driven are the Mach Bike and Daytripper for overly high Drift and too much oversteer. |

I use the Flame Runner (as known as Bowser Bike) in most cases. For karts I use the Piranha Prowler. |

Just to point it out, I always use Automatic Drifting with the Bowser Bike. Otherwise I use Manual.
... What? Automatic drifting isn't bad. In fact, it helped me beat the Expert Staff Ghost in Luigi Circuit. |
