I just moved here, and I'm valedictorian. My family and the school is especting me to write a speech I'm stressed out about. I don't have a clue on how to write it. I've never listened to a graduation speech or anything.

So I fyou guys could kindly give me any advice, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Lucky for you, I am a member of Toastmasters, the old organization of public speaking. At 14, I'm the youngest member, as all others are at least twice my age. XD

First of all, simply address the school. Address the body of students, the hardships you have faced with them, the triumphs you have done. The Good, the Bad, the Ugly, and what a ride it has been.

Then, turn to the future. Turn to how bright the horizion is, how wonderful the future looks, and with these roots how we've (we referring to you and the students) grown to the prime position to grow and mature.

Finally, express how wonderful this has been...emotionally. How you've become better people thanks to your school, and how wonderful it has been. Name a few names, reference a few people, and end with some quote no one's heard of by some famous guy.

...if you need any more help, or dislike my ideas, I'd be happy to give them to you (help or more ideas). =P

Thanks, although it's kinda hard for me to relate to anyone since I've only been at this school for a few months DX That only thing closest to a hardship was a bomb scare :/ *notes down to talk about future.

Just any time that was remotely difficult/made you study will do. The students will eat it up, as they usually do.

And you're valedictorian after that short of a time? Wow...congrats, that's awesome. o.o

Make it interesting. Make them happy they left something they probably didn't really want to do anyways. You are, in a direct translation, the person who says goodbye. Make it a strong, speech that connects to what most people will think, and listen to Mister I.

That's all I got. I typically ad lib when I do speeches.
