Okay, so, my best friend is a girl named Chie, right?
Yeah.

For the past three weeks, her mom has been asking my Aunt to let her spend the night, because she was working at a bar and such. She told my Aunt she'd pay her forty dollars, so, my Aunt said it was alright.

Of course, Chie's mother was paying my Aunt behind her husband's back, so, her husband doesn't know that her mother is paying my Aunt.

Then, just last night, Chie's mother called from this person's house, who I'm going to refer to as "W." ( Don't ask. ) And, this person has been arrested for drug dealing. He still is a drug dealer, and ever since Chie's mother has been there, she's lost weight. My Aunt thinks, seeing that if you take Cocaine, or something, you loose weight just like that, that Chie's mother might be using drugs.

Then, to make my Aunt more suspicious, Chie's father called a bit after, asking to talk to my Aunt. My Aunt told me he didn't want to think they were taking advantage of us, seeing he doesn't know about the money, but, then, he said that when Chie's mother drops her off here, she isn't working, at all. She just apparently doesn't want to watch her own daughter, either that, or she might be cheating on her husband and having an affair with someone else.

So, I'm really confused at this point, but, I just don't know what to do, either. In fact, I feel sorry for Chie, because her parents should be more responsible, but, it's just...odd.

And it's been bothering me for awhile, now. Ever since my Aunt told me this.

your friends mom is dumping her kid on your aunte, and giving her 40 bucks while she does nothing? While that has to suck for your friend, at least you get to hang out with her more.

D: Same sort of thing happened to me.

A friend of mine keeps calling to spend the night saying her mom abuses her, but it turns out that she won't do her schoolwork, so her mom yells at her, and she leaves the house even though she's grounded......

People lie alot, but this is something serious. It's about parental responsibilities. If you're really bothered, have your aunt or some other adult talk to your friends mom and sort it out.

I don't know what else to tell ya :/
