I haven't even played the original. I could play if I ever get my hands on it. I might even enhance it with my game genie. YES MY SNES STILL WORKS! I AM THE MASTER AT A LINK TO THE PAST! |

There already IS a Super Mario RPG sequel! At least, there is in Japan...
Paper Mario, known as Super Mario RPG 2: Mario Story in Japan
In fact, Super Mario RPG was a game in progress when Square split from Nintendo. The biggest change from the game in progress was the title.
So yeah, we already have SMRPG2, you just don't know it. D= And online petitions won't solve anything.
But I'd like to play SMRPG, so why not?*sign* |

Actually, I believe the SMRPG Sequel Petetion already knows about Paper Mario being Super Mario RPG 2: Mario Story in Japan, they just want a true AMERICAN sequel, I guess. |

Because Nintendo didn't want to use them? The sequel doesn't ALWAYS have to have characters from the first prequel. |

Because sequels don't always have the same characters. It would get repetitive after a while. And online petitions pretty much never do anything, anyway. |

I know it's not gonna help anything, but signed anyway. I think that Nintendo will keep making M&L games as the main RPG series and PM will now be a platformer RPG. If they work again with Square, I bet that it will be for a new M&L game or maybe a Kingdom Hearts-like game. |

Yeah, that could work...
Just imagine a game where you get to battle in Hyrule, the Mushroom Kingdom, Yoshi's Island, Corneria, and other places from Nintendo games. It would be almost like Super Smash Bros. games. |
