Post here if you played this awesome classic by 3DO.
BattleTanx: Global Assault is a four player party game where you just get into tanks and blast anything in sight. Using tanks from Mototanks to the massive Goliath tank... using items from Mines, missiles to NUKES... this game was awesome. It's graphics were pretty impressive for N64 times as well.
This game is actually one of the first games to introduce co-op Campaign mode. Playing it with a friend can take a day to beat, but it is fun destroying anything that is in front of your tank. If it moves... kill it. If it doesn't move... kill it anyway.
The ending of the game obviously looked like that there was a third BattleTanx game going to be made...
BUT 3DO WENT BANKRUPT!
Damn... if they didn't go bankrupt, we would have seen a trilogy of BattleTanx.
Still, who still plays Global Assault? That's the question. Because I've been playing it a lot recently.
I don't remember if I owned it or rented it, but me and my friends played it for hours and hours. The multiplayer was awesome. I remember the single-player being kinds boring though. I loved how you could just destroy any building to make a path to where you want to go.
This would make a great port to DS, with even more players over Wi-Fi.
