Just today, I received my Henkei (Japanese Classics) Astrotrain. While the US version of this figure is based off his appearance in the comics (white), the Japanese one is based off his appearance in the G1 cartoon. (gray)

Here he is shortly after I liberated him from his plastic/cardboard prison. He also came with a 7-page comic and a trading card. Neat!

A shot of him in space shuttle mode, with THE ENCLOSED INSTRUCTION BOOK his transformation instructions. They're in Japanese, but as with most Transformers instructions, they're pretty visual and straightforward, so even if you're like me and don't know Japanese, it's not hard to figure out.

One difference between Classics and Henkei figures is that the latter have some parts made of chrome, while the former have shiny plastic. Astrotrain has chrome thruster things.

This is his train mode. It's very long. And it has a gun on top of it.

And his robot mode, which has trains for hands.

This one is really blurry, but I couldn't retake it, because right after taking this, Astrotrain blew Ultra Magnus' head off. Oh well.

You have no idea how many times I misread Henkei.
