A series near and dear to my own heart...
Well, yesterday was a close match, but Gourmet Race just barely managed to beat out King Dedede's Theme, so...

Main Theme (Metroid): A remix of the Brinstar theme, heard in a number of Metroid games. This particular piece is taken almost directly from Metroid Prime Pinball, with the addition of narration at the beginning and some additional instrumentation.
Ending (Metroid): An arrangement of the ending theme from Metroid.
Norfair: A bizarre, quirky, synthesized remix of the Norfair theme from Metroid.
Theme of Samus Aran, Space Warrior: An arrangement of the ending theme from Super Metroid. It's worth noting that this isn't actually the Theme of Samus Aran.
Vs. Ridley: A metal remix of the boss battle theme for Ridley, Torizo, and Draygon from Super Metroid that has since become associated exclusively with Ridley.
Opening / Menu (Metroid Prime): A mix of the title screen theme with additional narration and an arrangement of the menu and credits music from Metroid Prime.
Sector 1: A faster-paced remix of the prologue theme and Sector 1 music from Metroid Fusion.
Oddly enough, despite Metroid being my favorite series, there wasn't really anything in Brawl that made me go "HOLY SHIT IT'S IN THE GAME!" The few that I would have went like that for were ruined by either the addition of needless narration at the beginning, thus diminishing the impact, or mislabeling, thus disappointing me when I found out that it wasn't the song that I was hoping for it to be. There were some instances when I said "HOLY SHIT WHY is this in the game?" (Vs. Parasite Queen, Norfair), but that isn't exactly positive. |

It's a menacing, darkly song that truly makes a Brawl great. And how it fits Frigate Orpheon is a bonus.

Yes, but Norfair is the place where Ridley was actually fought.
Plus, it would've fit the frantic nature of the level quite well. |
