Battle battle WIN! I'm hosting a tournament :3
.:Rules:. I'm hosting a tournament in the RP board, so I will explain the rules!
Character Conduct
a. Do not godmod, period. Godmodding is defined as having an unbeatable character who can dodge every hit, reflect every shot, and kick the ass of everyone it meets. This goes for humans also-unless you have a very good reason, your human character does not get to jump over buildings with a single leap.
b. Do not take mental control of other characters (as defined by assuming a relationship with one who does not have any intention of), or assume that since your character is so uberly cool, everyone else should love and worship it as well.
c. Do not control the story if it's not yours. Even if you believe something-or-other would be the absolute best thing for the plot, the original thread maker might have an entirely different idea. For that matter, plotbunnies are mostly up to the RP's creator, unless a RPer recommends a suggestion by PMing the creator.
4. Battle Conduct
a. The godmodding thing goes here too.
b. Respect your opponent. They’re not as stupid as you think they might be, and even if your attack was ultra-powerful and all-piercing, they might actually think up a plausible way to get out of it without a scratch. When that happens, don’t rant and rave about how that was to be your finest moment. If their dodge/block/avoidance left you facepalming and cursing yourself for not having seen that possibility, drop it and move on. But if the action was totally unreasonable under the circumstances, politely tell them about it.
c. Take all parts of your opponent's action/attacks into consideration. If they did something that's not beneficial to your character, for God's sake don't ignore it and hope they didn't notice, because they will. That might have been a part of their ultimate combo that you just chose to ignore, and they certainly will take you to task on it. Think of a good way to get out of the situation which would actually be in accordance with your current story.
