You know about the Mayan's prediction "2012 End of the World"? according to the calender, the worlds supposed to end in December 22, 2012. Now I know you might be thinking this is really stupid, but remember, the Mayans had THOUSANDS of other predictions and MOST (if not, ALL) of them were correct. So it may be true, it may not be true.
Personally, I think this is the Mayan's only false prediction, I don't believe in this. But...who knows? They WERE very accurate.
What are your thoughts on this? |

I do believe they got it right, and I'm somewhat getting ready for the end of the world.
Someone who can accurately predict an earthquake is very intelectual. Someone who can do it when it's an area supposed to be immune to earthquakes is even far more. |

I find it kind of stupid as well. It's not like we're just going to be sitting there one day and "OMG METEORITE SHOWER!!!! :O :O: :O !!!! :O :O x_x" or "OMG EARTHQUAKE" if something big enough to kill us was on it's way, don't you think we'd be warned by scientists? Do they have proof that this will happen? How is it going to happen? Are we one day just going to shut down? There are too many questions for me to believe it. |

I'm not saying it WILL happen, but I'm stating that the Mayans developed a very accurate calender. Besides season, they also predicted natural disasters, and some other things I forgot. I'll look into it.
Me and my friend made a bet, most likely a joke though. He believes that the world will truly end in 2012 while I don't. We betted $60 lol

It does sound very stupid I agree, but their calender is supposedly to be like ours today. Like Pfargtl said, the Mayans were declined in 12/22 so thats where people got the idea.
Also, remember that they said the world was going to end in December 12, 2007? That was proven false, so this one is likely to be false as well.
And also, the Mayan's decline reason was not known for sure so who knows what will happen to us on that day? |

The way my life's been going, I hope the Mayans are right. I'm not 100% sure if it's real or not, in December I will be a bit afraid for sure, but I don't think it will amount to anything. |

err that would be naturally impossible. The cause of the World's "end" will probably be not known ever since the cause of the Mayan's decline was also unknown. Who knows? A meteor could strike Earth randomly.
Although I agree with frozen, the scientist would have said something about a meteor if that was going to happen. So who knows? |
