I'm often asked "SONY SUCKZ U *crag* NOOBZOR WAI DO U LIEK THEM!??!?!!?!?" But I assure you, there is a method to my madness.
If you have been paying any attention to American third party big names like EA and the gang, then you will have noticed a startling trend. There are no *crag* exclusives. Almost every game coming out from now till the end of the year being published by any major western third party is coming to more than one console. So, what does this mean? Well, just look at Japan. MGS4, Disgae 3. Final Fantasy XIII, and more are all exclusives. On the PS3.
It is my theory that by 2009, the number of exclusive titles on the PS3 will overshadow that of the 360. And with the Wii's limited capabilities, I doubt it will be taking anything away from Sony. So really it's just simple logic.
Sony's own first party games are coming out at a faster and more frequent rate than those of Microsoft. Killzone 2, Resistance 2, and LittleBigPlanent have already been confirmed for release this year, and we aren't even to E3 yet. Now would be the time to get out your calculators and add up the facts kiddies. Limited American Release+Lazy First Parties+Blowing up Japanese Tankers Full of RPGs and Action Games=Microsoft falling flat on it's *crag* face.
And you guys thought Sony was stupid. |

Well, I'll be glad to add the PS3 to my gaming collection. I already own a Wii, XBox 360, DS, and a PSP (but it borked). |

If you look at the list of upcoming 360 games to PS3 games, PlayStation has a huge lead in awesome games coming out. And just look at the PS2, I'm starting to think that a PlayStaion will be a better investment for the future. |

there are only three reasons I want a ps3.
virtua fighter 5 which I played at target today. (was pure epic)
mgs4 (supposedly pure epic)
nights into dreams remake for ps2. (the original was pure epic, so obviously a remake would be pure epic)
...how ever I heard ps2 backwards compatibility was removed. |

The only reason I can think of for the fast releases is the trend of Graphics over Gameplay curse envieloping half of them.
Sorry, i'm just not trying to commit to a single console. |

Back in December, I knew that purchasing one would be a good choice. I'm glad I got a Playstation 3, as things are heating up for Sony, and cooling down for the other two, as you stated. : D |

Francis, I appreciate the run down, but I do not have enough to even split the cost with my brother (which he wants to do ALL THE TIME when it comes to a system).
I do not have enough money in the bank to split for PS3 and buy a game or two. He does, but he refuses to buy it on his own (when he probably has enough money to buy 5 PS3s at full price and still have money left over for a couple games). |

Don't know if my wording was a bit confusing, but I was talking about "heating up" as in Sony's getting alot more interesting titles, whereas Nintendo and Microsoft are getting less, and how I was glad to get one early, when the demand for the consoles is going to increase as well. |
