For some reason I can't access program files or do some other "administrator" things on my computer, despite the fact that I have the highest rights possible. It's some sort of evil, sinister glitch and/or virus that hates me.
Because of this, I have to install everything into a different folder. I call this folder... PROGRAM FILES JR!
Something around me smells utterly terrible. Like... sausages... and flatulence. Sausage flatulence. Nasty. |

Three words:
USE A MAC.
Windows was screwed over from the start, they really destroyed themselves with Vista. |

Make a new account on your computer and move all of your files to it. |

Reconsider your words. I have Vista and it runs fine. |

Okay, do you have the virus program Ad-aware? Click full scan, and wait a while. Just hope it's not a DSSagent. |

Try going to your control panel and look around in the administrative tools. Go to computer management, and then to local users and groups (it's on the left inside of the computer management.) Check around with the user you use and right click and properties. In the user properties, check to see if you are a member of the administrators. Sometimes, the reason for not being able to access the files, is that the administrator rights for certain users is not on. (Meaning that they aren't a member of the adminstrators). |

I'm not asking for help. I've tried everything, even a complete SYSTEM RESTORE. Nothing helped. I've given up on it. It's not threatening my computer in any way, it just makes installing MSN Messenger a real issue. |
