Hey, welcome to the Photoshop Challenge between Petey Piranha and Twytch! This contest was decided out of sheer boredom, and the submissions were made for the contest itself. Petey Piranha has created a TWEWY background, and I created a signature using Black Yoshi.

These are two completely different things. It's hard to decide which looks better because they are so far apart. If you were to do an actual challenge, it should include stuff that has to be in it, and then the deciding winner would be the one who did the best with it. Taking away from that, Twytch wins my vote. |

Petey said he'd rather do a background than a signature, and I couldn't think of any qualifications that both could have without one looking overstuffed/barren. So it was sort of an open contest. |

How'd you do the background for the signature?
Anyway, the Background is nice, but expanding sprites doesn't look good. Plus there's a white and then black line around the edges. The names on the bottom don't need to be there, but if you wanted them, they could've been in a different font across the character (but you would probably remove "the worlds ends with you title." |

I started with a black and red gradient, then started adding lighting behind the Black Yoshi text and layering filters of orange and red underneath the explosion effect. |
