Ever thought you got ripped off in a Pokemon trade? Well, I have decided to post what I think is rare in Pokemon and what is not. It will be listed from most common to most rare.
Dirt-common: Any hacked Pokemon
Common: Anything you can find in the wild frequently. Eg. Bidoof
Uncommon: Anything that is found less commonly in the wild than Commons. Eg. Skarmory, Chimecho (in R/S/E/FR/LG)
Version Exclusives: These should be traded for eachother (Check Serebii.net for a list of these in each version)
Semi-rare: Things like Feebas, Spiritomb, and Rotom that are hard to find but can easily be bred. Don't trade anything too good for them.
Rare: Evolved forms of not that common Pokemon that cannot be found in the wild. (Eg. Eeveelutions, Yanmega, Politoed)
Super rare: One off Pokemon that cannot be bred. (EX: Any non-event legend)
ULTRA-rare: Legitimate or Semi-legit Event Pokemon. (EX: Celebi, Mew, Hall of Origin Arceus)

The GTS is good if you want to get a decent Pokemon for a shiny. I got a lvl 68 Palkia for a lvl 30 shiny Wingull. Other than that it sucks. Honestly people, CLEFAIRIES AREN'T EFFIN' RARE! |
