Time is nothing more than a man-made measurement of how our universe's atoms rearrange themselves. In fact, only the present exists as a physical plane. The future and past are merely ideas. Let me explain why.

Let's think for a moment here. Let's say you just blinked. That movement is now in the past, correct? Well, you brain records what happens in the present as memories. After these events occur, they are kept alive by only our brain cells. So unless we have some crazy way to physically enter one's mind, traveling to the past won't happen. Also note that is time travel ever IS invented, they would have already gone to our time, and even years before that.

My disbelief in the future, however, is fueled by my personal beliefs. I have no real evidence to back it up, but I believe that every man controls his own destiny. And as mentioned before, there would already be men and women from the future in our time if time travel was possible.

So, long story short, the past MAY exist to us, but every single second and everything in between isn't a physical world just waiting to be explored by people of the future.

I think that if you like this idea, you should post it in my topic. It fits in with the rest. But my basic idea was about how each period in time is frozen, and souls or manifestations of people are just going through them all at different times.

I believe that a time travel would be like copying the past and taking it to the present. As in, now we're on the present, and two years later, someone invents the machine and goes time travel to two years ago, which is after two years later.

I guess I was unclear, but meh.

well, SSSS-BOOM, its kinda like we are "time traveling" to the future constantly, and there is no present.
if you wanted to "time travel" to the future in a more traditional sense, you could move at almost the speed of light. you would age much slower than, um, the rest of the universe... it could be possible, by slingshotting almost into and out of a black hole.
I also believe that time travel to the past is completely impossible. I agree that somebody would have done it already and we'd probably know about it.

I mean it's not that big a deal when you think about it. Even if you believe in God it's ignorant to believe in time.
