Francis | Doesn't look like you can use the screen AND a TV at same time, so maybe no Wii U backwards compatibility. (but could be possible with multiple units) Hopefully games can be "shared" between multiple units for multiplayer. |

Ignorant | hope it's not the same deal as the GC -> Wii |
Francis | The games shown were interesting too.. looked like a new Super Mario game set in a desert town (Sunshine sequel?). And that Mario Kart was /not/ Mario Kart 8, because the players had two item slots. It's possible we could have new Zelda, Super Mario, Splatoon, and Mario Kart at launch |
StarletSkarlet | I feel like the Switch is the NX... |
Doopliss | By jove I think he's got it |
StarletSkarlet | The Switch looks like a mix of the Wii U, Wii and Xbox One. |
StarletSkarlet | I think they over-exaggerated its connectivity distance... |
Francis | reply to StarletSkarlet connectivity to what? It's like a Gameboy. That can also plug into your TV |
StarletSkarlet | reply to Francis I mean in the trailer it shows the guy still using it on an airplane, presumably miles from the console. The Wii U had problems connecting to the gamepad even if you were just a couple goddamn feet away. What I mean is the Switch's gamepad is either being over-exaggerated in it's connectivity, or the gamepad might be a console itself. |
Francis | reply to StarletSkarlet Yep, the gamepad is the console itself. The dock is just to make it easier to hook up to your TV. ***mind blown*** I wish they could have done a reverse Wii U and beamed the video wirelessly to the TV, but I guess that would destroy battery life. Maybe next time? |
StarletSkarlet | reply to Francis Hmmm... |
NStar | reply to Francis i'm freakin stoked |
StarletSkarlet | Welp, I can feel the money loosening from my wallet already. |
