I've never played Kingdom Hearts but for someone i did care. I was just happy for everyone that wanted him. I just don't know how Sakurai got Disney to let him put Sora in Smash

Well, Disney isn’t as overprotective of their IP when there’s money involved. It’s like how Rare got Disney to allow Jack Sparrow in Sea of Thieves (phenomenal game by the way).

also, (apart from sans) no indie characters have gotten in at all, and sora is the exact opposite of an indie game character.

I'm pretty sure Minecraft is an idie game (or started as one anyways). maybe that doesn't count since they got bought by Microsoft idk
