If you don't want to go to the events on Wi-Fi to get the legendaries, just use or borrow an AR to get Darkrai and shaymin.
To get Darkrai, use the Walk through walls code and go to island where you see Cresselia, then walk east of the boat. You'll eventually come across another island, Newmoon Island, and there you will find Darkrai. It is fully legal and is the same as getting it from the event. You'll just be bypassing the event.
Same with Shaymin, just walk off the cliff at the Pokemon League and walk around until you see a large grey stone on a brown island. There will be a path that you can walk on that has a bunch o' flowers on it, and Shaymin will be at the end. It will also be legal, you are just bypassing the event. |

I had the same problem!
I'm 15, so I kind of outgrew pokemon at one point. Then a friend from school nagged me to get it, so I did....then I learned that I had forgotten how fun the games are!  |

I wish you could get Arceus like that somehow D: I know you can't, but Arceus is really cool.
And I don't see the point of having all the different Plates in the game without being able to get Arceus... There are already elemental boosting items. |

It's to try and convince you to actually GO to the Nintendo events.
-A dead end at Route 224 with a "mysterious stone"
-The kid mentioning Darkrai in his nightmares before waking up
-The seventeen useless plates

Unfortunately, I don't have an Action Replay. I have Arceus' dex data, thanks to Piccolo, but nobody on the GTS is offering one, for obvious reasons. |

Actually, as stated above by Hario, you can use the AR to get Arceus. You have to imput the code manually, though...
Oh, and ?Block, just ask a near friend that has one to borrow it. If able....otherwise, sorry about that. |

No, I don't think I have any friends with an ARDS...wait...yes I do! He'll have to let me use it, of course, but that's not much of a problem, I don't think. |

Yeah, that would be pretty fun. I still need more time to assemble a team, of course...as the self-appointed fourth member of the Elite Four, I need to have some sort of theme. I have all the Pokemon I need, luckily...just need to train them and evolve them. |
