Hi Dr. Nick!
Finally home...
As much as I'd love to go in-depth on everything I did on vacation, I don't feel like it right now. Some notable things I did, however, include:
-Getting on The Simpsons Ride like 4 times. It's friggin' epic.
-Getting a picture with the Bubba Gump Shrimp.
-Getting a picture with Hellboy.
-Getting in more than 3 pictures. Family loves not including me or Sharp.
-Ate ALOT of Cadbury chocolate. You should go die in a hole(or get some) if you've never had it, it's like the greatest chocolate in the world.
-Completed Pokemon Mystery Dungeon 2, at least to my knowledge, unless the story doesn't end after Darkrai, and the Manaphy reunion.
-Went to Aquatica. Disappointed by the fact that it's far, FAR worse than how it looks in the advertisements. Had a nice pool, though.
-Learned there is a 3rd Mummy movie coming out.
-Learned that a new 'island' is being added to Islands of Adventure, which is supposed to be Hogwarts and a nearby village with several classes, shops, and magical things.
...there are a few other things, I think. I'm not gonna list all the stuff I did as of now. |

Well, let's compare the advertisements to the real thing:
Ad:
-There is a waterslide that takes you underneath a lake, where the clear tubing lets you see the dolphins swimming around.
Reality:
-There is a waterslide that goes underwater for about 2 seconds, the small pool has one small dolphin.
Ad:
-There is a relaxing inner-tube ride that eventually enters what appears to be a giant glass tube, where you can see multitudes of fish swimming about around you.
Reality:
-The inner-tube ride briefly passes by what is literally a moderate aquarium-sized fishtank.
Other things:
-It was full of assholes. Some kid kicked me in the foot on the rapid-river ride, I still have a scab there despite it happening 4 days ago. People were also constantly blocking the exits so it was very difficult to get out.
-Very little shade. Most of the shade there was by the restaurants, some trees, in some small shops, and rentable tent areas.
-There weren't many rides at all. I think there were about 9 or 10 of them.
-The *crag* heat was torture. =_= |
