From what I know, it's going to be using a new version of the ATB system the series used from IV to IX. The ATB system is already awesome, but they said they're going to give it a more "cinematic" and "dynamic" feel. That probably means it'll only get better.
Well, from the short clips of gameplay (It looks like gameplay, at least) the battle system looks more like a cross between Zelda fighting, just a bit faster, and FF attacks.

So, since the Japanese will ONLY get the PS3 version, and the Xbox version will be a port, it MAY mean that the PS3 version will be the better one to get.

Yes, America will get both PS3 and Xbox versions. I think both will arrive the same day too.
