The PS3 I just got won't read any discs. I've left it in for like 10 minutes, and it still can't read either disc. I've tried both sides, there are no scratches on either disc, but I just can't figure out what's wrong? Can someone post or link me to a place that gives the basics on starting a PS3 game? (The online instruction manual doesn't help for shit) |

How, though? Which screws do I take out? The disc drive is the part that doesn't work. |

Just get some screwdrivers and test out each one until it works, then unscrew the screws holding the casing and go on and do your own thing from there. |

The screws are messed up, I can't get them out. (It's not a matter of strength, something is wrong with the SCREWS. (or the screwplaces))
And I don't know when the PS3 was ordered or when it arrived. All I know is my parents got it from eBay. |

Theres your problem.
Look for the thing that reads the disk, the laser thing, and super carefully dab it with a Q-tip. |
