I think I'm pretty good, but I'm not so sure about fighting. Sometimes I think my ability to take the shape and ability of almost anything is a bit of an annoying advantage. Along with my teleporting (Flipping). What do you think?

As long as the have weaknesses you should be okay.

But it would be a good idea to place limits on power.

For example Vaati can't keep his Super Mage(power of 1000 mages combined.) form for very long.

Well yeah my weakness is the weakness of whatever form I'm in, and I'm not afraid to lose at an RP. As long as you know it you can hurt me. I'm good for up to four forms ((Like in the game)), and if you kill me four times I die for good. Well I don't die exactly ((If I did that would put a huge hole in my story)), but I do get knocked out for a few hours, which pretty much means I lost the RP anyway. I can stay in any form for as long as I want unless that form has some kind of problem, like the original being that had that form can't stay in whatever secondary form for long without something bad happening.

Hmm...for Shadoo, it seems to me like it should be weakened a bit. I mean, being able to copy somebody without any real limits is one thing, but being able to copy somebody without any real limits, then after getting beaten to the point where the regular character would normally be knocked out being able to copy another person until you've been beaten four times is a bit much. I'm thinking you could have a lot less health than your target. So for instance you copy somebody who can survive 9 medium-power attacks, and you end up being defeated in 3 hits in that form. Then say you copy someone else with similar health each time you get defeated, eventually you die after 12 hits total. Sounds reasonable? That way you have to switch forms pretty soon after using them, so you can't just copy the super-powerful guy for long before having to copy someone else. Or you could go with decreased power, slightly decreased everything, etc. I think you should have something that makes you weaker than the copied, since you in total last 4x longer (but of course have to switch forms) and have the same everything else.

As for teleporting, it depends how much you use it and how fast it is. In a way, teleporting to the other side of the world in a second and being able to get past giant barriers is kinda god-mod-ish, but again it depends how much you use it. In RPOT, when it comes to topics that don't have much continuity anyway, it's fine. When in RP and the whole point of the plot is to journey across a really far distance through nearly inhospitable lands, being able to get all the way there in a second is really god-mod-y.

I dunno. I'm not actually too experienced in RPing, I tend to think of it too much as an RPG where everything has to be somewhat balanced and nobody can be too much better than anyone else. These are just suggestions.

Yeah, your right Ulti. I'm weaker then the original. ((That is pretty much how it is in the game anyway)) I don't really have a limit of Flipping, even if I did I could just spam Flip until my destination anyway. but you could make anti-flip walls or a barrier I guess, just like how the last room in the Flopside Pit of 100 Trials was made. But yeah I would guess I'm about 4x weaker then the original.

Or if you are near Vaati he could snap his fingers and have a Floor Master grab your leg and preventing you from flipping.


Yamada Your problem is that you don't give your characters limits.

The reason why I don't have godmod characters is do to limiting the power.

That is not what I mean.

For a better examples take a look at my post in RPOT.

Each one has some limits.


For example Vaati can't defend against anything that his spells can't defend against.
