Yeah... I wonder whether His Nerdiness Francis, the King of Butterflies and Explorer of Hawt Babes could potentially host a TF2 server on here - or else, if we could set a time, date and server and have an all-out digibutter smackdown.
Time adjusted for people who live in evil timezones, maybe.
Yes, no, maybe, suggestions ?

Organizing a tourney, mebbe - we could just have one person join an empty server and everyone follows, but I wouldn't want some idiot / hacker piping in.

You can host without having the game (like I do), though he would still need to download all the resources (player models, scripts, etc.), and keep the server updated regularly...
