the stage name would be 'rog mines, it is a big cave that has enemies called 'rogs (those mini balrogs that were scrapped from cave story) as it's specific stage only enemy. at first the cave looks like a mine but halfway through after the miniboss, you fall into a big, mechanical, generic gemcutting and ore smelting factory that has big smelting pots hanging from the cieling, and sometimes they will tip over and drop the liquid contents on you. the spikes in the cave are stalagmites/stalactites that are hanging around under you when you see the first mechanical moving platform... at the end of the factory there is a dustman-esque crusher area before the boss. enough info?
I found this MP3 to MIDI thing from a google search, dunno if this will work though so I'll leave it to you to try it out. If it works there'll be more space to decide on music for the game.
My stage design would be would be a big rock covered tube in space to the sun. As you go further you encounter more enemies and the screen will do a blinking of white for 2 seconds due to the brightness.
Uh, Mini boss... I actually don't know. Anyone wanna volunteer?
@sync:when will it be announced who will be a robot master and who won't, unless it's just the first 8 requests @CBluigi: hopefully they only choose 8 bit songs so that it doesn't take awhile to make them sound right mp3 to midi-wise.
@CBLuigi - I really dont think we should limit ourselves like that, but if everyone agrees to it, I guess it's fine with me.
I just prefer it, since I assume you're talking about GXSCC for converting midis to 8-bit, and GXSCC emulates a specific sound chip that the MSX uses, not the NES.

It doesn't have to happen, though.
GXSCC also emulates the YM2612, just click the GXSCC logo when you have it open.
