Read anything good recently?

My favorite series are Young Wizards by Diane Duane, and Pendragon by D.J. MacHale.

Yeah, I'm looking forward to the third Inheritance. It's about the most hackneyed plot I've ever read, but the world it's set in is pretty interesting.

I read this a few years back in 5th and 6th grade, but they're still some of the best books I've ever read.

His Dark Materials trilogy by Philip Pullman. The Golden Compass movie is coming out in December with Daniel Craig and Nicole Kidman.

It most certainly does. I love the Earthsea cycle as well.

Then they went and made that crappy miniseries of it. Razz

Oh, another good series is the Hitchhiker's Guide five-part series. Douglas Adams has to be one of my favorite authors.

Now this is my type of topic. I will occasionally see fit to grace you with sage advice as to what wonderiously splendiferous books I demand that you read. Try The Diamond Age by Neil Stephenson. It's almost as wonderful as me.

Flavio's assuming SF means Science Fiction.

Flavio enjoys reading, well, pretty much anything written by H.G. Wells. GREATEST. NON-PRON AUTHOR. EVER.

Feh, I could never get through LOTR either. Razz

@Flavio: Yeah, SF = Sci-Fi.

M'aiq remembers reading something somewhere about there being a 4th book. Is that true? Neutral

A fourth and a fifth. They're called Tehanu and The Other Wind.

Personally, the first is still my favorite of the series.
