Drape the site in black and replace Tippi with a tomb. We've had a loss in the family.

You mean the Famicom, not the NES
Support for the NES was dropped a long time ago by Nintendo of America. (and all other systems before Gameboy Advanced)

Even if it is the Famicom and not the NES, I agree with Popple but maybe instead of a tomb a picture of the NES/Famicom. (A tomb might make it a bit too funeral like, some people might still have working NES's, like me)

Just because support is dropped, doesn't mean the systems will die! My SNES is at least 15 years old, and it still works like a dream, with rarely a fix. In fact, when we had cable installed, my dad said it got knocked around a lot and might not work anymore. WRONG! It still works perfectly fine. TAKE THAT OLD SYSTEMS!

Amen. My systems, even my Atari 2600, are all in full working order.

...

Except my Gameboy Pocket.

The NES will never die. There are plenty of people who will repair a broken NES, and mine works just fine.

I feel sad for both the NES and GameCube. I played my dad's old NES before I got the GameCube, and then I saw an old webcomic about ROB as a doctor trying to save the GC from falling into the Underwhere. Sigh...
