Since this site seems to be growing quite fast, how does Francis pay for it? Does he have a good job with enough surplus to keep this forum up? I see no ads (W00T) so he must be paying for this all with his own money.

I always assumed the site was so awesome it must actually be run by nintendo. but that's just my guess.

I'm pretty sure it's only a monthly fee. As long as it's not on GoDaddy, he should be fine. Why not GoDaddy? Because it's evil, according to Unmediocre of Gamer Disclaimer, and he's the admin. What happened was they thought he didn't pay, and it wrecked THE ENTIRE SITE.

In the FAQ it says that the site isn't endorsed by Nintendo, it's Francis's own site.

I'm almost positive it's not run by Nintendo, so either my guess is that he pays for it himself or that it's a totally home-made site.

Like he's running the site on his own server?

oh. that makes it cooler. sort of. it makes it less cool because it means that nintendo probably doesn't know this board exists.

I am hosting from my Pikmin powered computer, from Nintendo's secret mountain bunker.

But yeah, I pay for the hosting. We would need have a lot more hits before ads became worth the hassle. Its not too crazy yet... although it is growing, but I will deal with that when I need to.
