on topic: Zune is WAY better than iPod. I've always hated iPod because of the scroll wheel. The scroll wheel is terrible, and, really, the only GOOD thing about the iPod is the hard drive and the fact that you can put Linux on it. But nowadays, what the hell can you not put Linux on?
Well, protecting the units are what iPod cases are for. Plus, you can download songs off iTunes with it, like "Go Pokémon, Go!" from the Journey Across America events.
Zune sucks as of now, at least until they hack it. It has some nice hardware but does not use it in any way that may be of worth. Stick with an iPod, iPod Linux can do a lot for you. Just don't get a Second Gen Nano.
My nano can play pokemon silver, as well as a host of other games.
I had an iPod Shiffle a year ago. After a while, my computer stopped recognizing what it was so it couldn't charge. Turns out hundreds of other people had the exact same problem.
a month ago, I would've said neither. I hated the ipod and the zune looks like crap. I now have an ipod, and see the error of my ways. I'm still annoyed how easily I changed though.
