I've noticed a ton of double/triple posting going on. We definitely need a rule regarding this topic. And some punishment for repeat offenders. Such as loss of coins/items(when we get them).

Remember, use the edit button people.

Anyone agree?

I agree, as it seems like a cheap way of increasing post count.

Agreed, for every double/triple post and so on, you lose 5 coins or something.

I think losing coins is the way to go. Or for those that have items they should lose an item each time the double post.

HP wouldn't work because once you go to zero you will eventually get your HP back.

What is the definition of a double or triple post? If I auto-punish people, there needs to be a clear understanding that what they did was not accidental.

Or I can allow the users to mark a post as "abuse". Then I could examine it later and punish accordingly. But thats alot of work Sad Maybe it could go in a public area and everyone can vote, hmm, potential for abuse though? Sorry, I'm thinking out loud.

But, I run the Glitz Pit, and often times I'll make one post saying who won/lost the previous battle, and then I'll make another post right after introducing the next battle?
Would I still get penalized for this? Confused

I'd say that the auto-abuse thing probably wouldn't work... in case it is accidental.

Although, using the abuse idea, you could assign Mods to the forums with the power to enforce it. They could look at the time of the posts and judge whether it is accidental or not. Plus we could make an announcement that if the post is accidental they(the member who DPed) edit out the second post saying "Accidental DP or something along those lines." Then the Mod could look at the times of the posts and if they are close enough (a couple of minutes away) delete the post. If it isn't accidental delete the post with enforcement, if it is accidental just delete the post.

This way the power is divided and Francis won't have to do all of the work. He can get help.

No, we could make it so that the Mod of the forum approves it so that you (and just you) is allowed to double post for a certain event, such as the Glitz Pit.

Double posting should be allowed, I commonly have things I consider notable to say and if I edit my post, it's likely it won't be seen.

If you edit your post before someone else posts it shouldn't be a problem.

If someone else posts just post after them.
