Hello guys.

Sorry for not being around here... I was kinda busy with other stuff.

So, I'm now replaying Super Paper Mario to improve on my German skills and to see how they translated everything. To my great surprize they called Count Bleck '' Graf Knickwitz ''. 'Graf' means count, a 'knickwitz' is a joke that didn't work out well. They also called O'Chunks '' O'Klock ''.

I'm really enjoying it, and my German skills have improved. I'm now at the beginning of chapter 4.

Oh, and know what? Francis is called 'Konrad' in German.

Holy Crap, you're back.

Yes, SPM was another reason for me to hate Nintendo's german translators. I want to KILL IT WITH FIRE.

When I PM'd Francis the lepirodopter.nerr thing, he renamed the site for a few days and first everyone was like "OMG GERMAN WAIT ZELNOR IS GERMAN HACKER ON STERIODS !"

I had fun. :3

EDIT: Making "Bleh heh heh heh... BLECK !" into "Heh heh heh... KNICKEDIKNACK !" is not only No. 1 in my list of offenses nearly justifying murder but also makes the most epical VG boss of the century sound like a retarded child trying to imitate a cuckoo clock.

The translators are not that bad. Some of the names are somewhat weird, but I quite enjoyed myself ridiculing them. I might play it in another language later, too, as my German has improved significantly.

What in the world... Anyways, I CAN'T understand German well, even with my classes, so I'll maybe try it in French or Spanish.

Simply set your Wii to German and play the game. It'll work with other languages, too, I bet. But not Dutch Sad .

Haha. I wonder how the game would've looked in Dutch.

I wonder how I would've called Count Bleck in Dutch...
'' Graaf Zwart '' sounds okay. But calling ''zwart'' all the time wouldn't be very nice.

Also, the German names for the Pixls amuse me. Wurfowitz? Kawummso? Platto?

Everything translated into german sounds as if they wanted to market it to three-year olds.

I admit that it often sounds that way.

... but aren't you European? The American version doesn't do that.

Could I order the European version online somewhere and get it shipped to America? o.0;
