4:3 is the king of productivity. Best for editing spreadsheets, photography (+ photo editing), reading ebooks, writing documents, and was only ever replaced essentially because the film industry wanted cinemas to be able to provide a viewing experience that was unique from TV. To answer your question though: 16:9 challenges 4:3 to a fight and says "be there or be square," but 4:3 calls 16:9 fat and instead just gives him the old wham bam pow on the spot. It disappoints me that the laptop I'm using right now is the model immediately after one of the last ever 4:3 laptops (which switched to 16:10 and then 16:9 in the early 2000s because 16:9 screens were cheeper to produce than 4:3 ones because of their smaller surface area) to be commercially produced, but it makes more sense to use the one I have because it's fast enough to still be usable and a 16:10 screen realistically is more convenient because that's what most digital media is in these days. However, it's been pretty cool recently to see the revival of 16:10 and 3:2 in a lot of new laptops. TL;DR: 16:10's cooler than 16:9, but it disappoints both sides with b4:3 is the king of productivity.
