A Prescient Passage from Ask Iwata

I’ve been enjoying reading through my copy of Ask Iwata lately. I think it’s a good read for people in management positions, programmers, game designers, and anyone interested in the philosophy of Nintendo’s former C.E.O., Satoru Iwata.

I’m about 3/4 of the way finished with the book now, and this passage stuck out to me. I find a twinge of irony here reading this with the Switch U in mind. Does anyone else feel the same?

Rest in peace, Iwata-san.

Hey, it still ain’t got no games at least.

There’s DK Bananza, Kirby Air Riders, and (kinda) MKWorld, and that’s about it.

My friend regrets buying his Switch U, but hey, at least I got to play some Bananza out of it.
