So I got an old phone from a friend recently. The phone has no service but can use Wi-Fi.
What I’m doing with it is that I’m making a DAP (Digital Audio Player) with it for offline music that I will own forever, and it will be wonderful.
Does anyone have experience with this? Ripping CDs is something I did back in the day, can’t wait to get back into that and buying digital music (from bandcamp).

It’s an android. Motorola specifically.
I have an iPod Touch I thought about doing this with, but I ended up being content with YouTube + an ad blocker and couldn’t justify spending the time/storage on this.
Should be pretty straightforward though. Just accumulate your MP3s/other audio files and install your music player of choice.
