In my humble opinion, Kidz Bop, is annoying and pointless, they claim they started to make “Family Friendly versions of music” so why is “You’re welcome” one of the songs, it was already in a movie targeted for children, as well, the actual music itself sounds bad, they make everything a weird kind of “Techno” music, which I like but it doesn’t fit in with most of the songs they cover, just, I would like other’s opinions on it, because no amount nostalgia I have can convince me to really enjoy it, I’m open to discuss it.
Wait til WAP gets on Kidz Bop
Idk, KB always seemed kinda cringe to me. It feels like the musical embodiment of the Steve Buscemi “How do you do, fellow kids” meme
It’s basically just the pinnacle of classroom ‘get up and dance’ activities. Like, I remember back in primary school, sometimes, instead of ordinary sport, we’d just stay in our classrooms and jam out to either this or some random Just Dance thing.
I never had a soft spot for it: don’t really know what’s going on with it right now and don’t care either.
Is primary school the same as Elementary? And, Did Gym ever get canceled to play Just Dance or was it like “When it rained so you couldn’t go to recess” anyways, that’s interesting
Yeah, primary is what we call elementary down in Australia, the land of boxing kangaroos eating Vegemite.
Like, a little bit more about that, we often had ENTIRE sport periods of 40 min- 1 hour dedicated to dance: whether it would be non-stop Just Dance or learning a routine for a school dance production (it was every two years and I still have a dvd of them!) Then there was the numerous ‘active breaks’ we had, usually from GoNoodle (anyone else remember that?) or, like the topic says, Kidz Bop. Oh, and if we couldn’t go out on breaks, we just sat on our bums and watched whatever movie they had available.
Wait, this was supposed to be about Kidz Bop? Ah well, I guess the primary school self-promotion IS an inevitable part of life.
