I believe SPM has the best storyline of all Mario games, bar none

It’s a shame that none ever come close to beating it (except for Mario & Rabbids games, but I have little knowledge on them)

I have doubts that Nintendo will ever return to the darker style storylines like TTYD and SPM have. Really unfortunate considering how much meaning they were able to convey while keeping the dialog comical and easy for younger audiences to read. I was never as touched by a game’s storyline as I was by SPM (games like OneShot and NITW come close but can’t top SPM’s story in my opinion)

Who knows what Nintendo has in store for the Switch U. Super Mario Bros. Wonder was really lighthearted, but it shows that they’re being more adventurous with trying out new ideas again.

I suppose the final plot line of M&L Brothership is one of the darkest in recent history, maybe you’ll like it too?

Totally, the story should’ve been its own thing with the Mario characters. It was amazing to play through a seemingly simple but very deep story like that.
