So I'm working on adding more rooms including a huge Team Deathmatch room to the Digibutter server, but here is an idea just had that I want some opinions on.
Basically, it's a variation on CTF using the game mechanics already built into Terraria, for now I'm going to call it Capture the Summon for now, or CTS.
Basically, everyone starts in the same room with a new character where they choose a side and get their shit together.
So yes this requires the honor system, they all do. THAT IS HOW IT HAS TO WORK.
The game starts at dawn, or 4:30 AM, and ends at 7:30 PM, so 15 minutes. I may change it later.
Anyway, before dawn the defending team has time to set up defenses and shit to deter the attacking team. The defense team is defending a corrupted fortress made of obsidian, aka "NEW CHARACTERS CAN'T DIG THROUGH IT." with a Worm Food hidden in the center of the fortress that the attacking team needs to get so they can summon the Eater of Worlds which ends the game. Alternatively, if the game hits night time the defending team will be able to summon Cthulu's Eye winning the game for their team.
This is going to be a whole map with a ton of objectives to find like forward spawn beds and better equiptment, so yes it's going to be a lot of work. I think it's a really cool idea though that could work well within the framework of Terraria and really get an active player base behind it if I do it right.

Maybe if I can minimize the game and automate it more it would be for the best.
