When celebrities pillage on board for a game, the inevitable pitfall be the dreaded interview where said celebrity awkwardly tries relating t' the "gamer" crowd (trust us, we know all about it.) With DJ Hero dropping this week, celebrity sponsor Jay-Z sat down with MTV News t' talk about how much a a gamer he be (hint: not so much) 'n his support for the cultural awareness opportunities inherent in the recently released turntable title."Immediately, a course, with the success a Guitar Hero, ye know, [DJ Hero] piqued me interest, 'n then on top a that it be something from the hip-hop culture. So, anytime ye can, ye know, I can expand the genre 'n introduce it t' new audiences 'n widen it -- ye know, the reach a what hip-hop can do -- ye know, I be interested in that," Jay-Z explains in the video interview (embedded after the break). As far as Jay-Z's gaming roots, that be another story altogether. "I be really a gamer," Jay-Z urges. "Like, ask any a the lads. Like, I used t' -- Madden 'n all these type a games," Jay-Z awkwardly cobbles together, "I be, like, really a problem. Like, those be me things -- for awhile." Presumably, until, ye know, he got all that other stuff that impresses us, right? it be okay, Mr. Z -- ye don't have t' impress us with yer gaming prowess, too. it be not like we have the numbers a "the lads" t' fact check yer claims anyway.
