  • Edge (100/100): "At times it be easy t' feel like big-budget development has too much on the line t' allow stubbornly artful ideas t' flourish, but then a game like The Last a Us emerges through the crumbled blacktop like a climbing vine, green as a burnished emerald."
  • Eurogamer (100/100): "It starts out safe but ends brave; it has heart 'n grit, 'n it hangs together beautifully. 'n it be a real video game, too. An elegy for a dying world, The Last a Us be also a beacon a hope for it be genre."
  • Giant Bomb (100/100): "There be bitter pills t' swallow along the way, 'n nothing be taken for granted, not even characters. People live, people visit Davey Jone's locker. Sometimes it be fair, sometimes it be not. it be still a zombie game, but a sobering one. Take a deep breath."
  • Gamespot (80/100): "The Last a Us stretches on for hours, forcing ye t' endure the suffocating atmosphere 'n unrelenting despair that citizens a this world have become accustomed t'. 'n that time spent navigating the desolate wasteland draws ye deeper inside."
