Sony today announced that its PlayStation 4 console has sold 6 million units worldwide, following the launch of the device in Japan last month. Notably, this means that the PS4 has now surpassed the latest figures given by Nintendo for total Wii U sales (the Wii U currently sits at 5.86 million units sold as of December 31, 2013.)
