Oh, look! Another PS3 firmware update! That's two in one month, folks. Don't worry, though. Unlike the highly controversial 3.21 update, this revision actually adds functionality to Sony's console.
According to the PlayStation.Blog, 3.30 adds the long-awaited 3D functionality to the system, enabling 3D playback for those of you lucky enough to own a television from the future. In addition, everyone will be able to enjoy an enhanced trophy collection, featuring new sorting methods, to help better organize your PS3 achievements. The update is mandatory, so you should download and install the update if you plan on using any PSN functionality. (ProTip: Your download may be faster if you visit the PlayStation website and save the update to a memory card.)
